Each year the membership of the X-Cel Gymnastics Parent Organization, Inc. approves a budget to cover annual expenses.  A copy of this year’s budget is attached.  The expenses are classified as general fund expenses and competition fund expenses and are outlined as such:

 

General Fund: The general fund expenses include administrative costs, annual registration fees for gymnasts and coaches, education and professional development, expenses associated with national-level competitions, equipment purchases, recognition, scholarships, team social activities, and discretionary expenses of $100 or less.  

 

Competition Expenses: The competition expenses include meet registration fees and coaches expenses, including session fees, travel costs/mileage rate, lodging expenses, and meal allowances.

 

All members are assessed an equal portion of the budget expenses which includes general fund and competition expenses less projected fundraising income. The equal portion is divided into monthly payments.  Monthly payments are broken down into assessments are fundraising fees on your monthly statements.  

 

ASSESSMENTS: Each athlete is assessed a $600 fee. A charge of $100 per month is assessed in August, September, October, November, December and January. The assessment amount will appear on your monthly statement and is due the 1st of each month. This amount can be paid monthly as noted above, or it can be paid in its entirety for your convenience.

 

FUNDRAISING: Each athlete is also responsible for a $600 fundraising fee. The fee is broken down into three charges of $200 and are due November 30, 2016, January 31, 2017 and April 30, 2017. You can elect to participate in various fundraising events throughout the year to reduce or eliminate out of pocket expenses or you can simply cover this expense without participating in any fundraising events.  If you do not meet your fundraising obligations through various fundraising credits, the remaining balance will be due via direct payment on each deadline.

 

Checks should be made payable to “X-Cel Gymnastics Parent Organization” and placed in the Parent Organization payment box, located inside the large gym in the upper balcony area.  Please pay your monthly assessment on time.  If monthly assessments are not paid on time, the gymnast will not be permitted to compete.

 

In addition, all NEW competing gymnasts will be charged a $100.00 refundable security deposit.  The security deposit is due within the first 60 days of your gymnast joining a competitive team. The security deposit will appear as a separate line item charge on your monthly statement. Security deposits are refunded when the gymnast leaves the gym provided all membership obligations have been paid in full.
