The Scrip Fundraising Program is a unique way to raise money for your daughter’s fundraising account by purchasing gift cards and getting a percentage back.  Scrip cards are great for those restaurants or stores that you visit on a daily or weekly basis (Starbucks, Panera, Dicks, etc.) or for large purchases including appliances, trips, hotels, etc.  Each retailer offers a different percentage of credit that will go towards your fundraising requirement. Depending on the retailer, there are three types of cards offered through Scrip: physical cards, ScripNow (electronic cards), and reloadable cards.

The Scrip Fundraiser for the 2016-2017 season begins August 1, 2016, and runs on a monthly basis until May 2017.

 

How it works:

• During the first week of each month, an order for physical cards will be submitted for the gym.

• If you are interested in ordering cards, place your order on the Scrip web site by the order due date. (See Scrip Schedule attached. The first order is due: Saturday, August 6, 2016.)

• Write a check to the X-Cel Parent Organization for your order amount, and place it in theJoyce folder by the order due date.  

• You will receive an email when your cards are available for pickup at the gym’s front office.

• You can place an order at anytime; however, your physical cards will not be available until the next gym delivery date.

• All orders are subject to an additional shipping charge, regardless of the types of cards you ordered or the type of payment you used that month. You will be notified of the shipping amount, which ranges from $1 to $1.50. The amount will be automatically deducted from your account. (See Scrip Shipping Fees attached.)

Payment Options:

There are two payment options available: 

1. Check: Order your cards online and in the checkout select to “pay by check.” (Place your check in the Joyce folder by the order due date.)

2. Electronic through PrestoPay: Sign up for PrestoPay on the Scrip web site and pay for your cards electronically. PrestoPay takes the money directly from your checking account. A benefit of using PrestoPay is that you can order ScripNow electronic cards, pay for them with your PrestoPay account, and receive the e-card immediately. (A great option when you are out shopping and dining, or if you need a last minute electronic gift for someone!)

 

Get Started – New Scrip Users:

To participate in the Scrip Fundraiser: 

1. Complete the X-Cel Parent Organization Enrollment Form (attached) and place your completed form in the Joyce folder at the gym.  (The file cabinet is located at the top of the steps in the loft viewing area.) All users must have a signed form on file at the gym.

2. Set up your account on the Scrip web site. https://www.shopwithscrip.com/  (See Directions attached.)

3. Once enrolled, you can place your order online beginning Monday, August 1st.

 

Get Started – Existing Scrip Users:

• Families who are already enrolled in Scrip can place their orders online beginning Monday, August 1st. 

• Families enrolled in PrestoPay can begin purchasing ScripNow electronic cards on Monday, August 1st.
